Halloween Look 4

Yes, I did it. I become my true self – A Mermaid.

Ever since I was a small child, I have been obsessed with Mermaids. The Little Mermaid was my favorite Disney movie and I thought I was Ariel. I am also a Pisces, the fish sign, so I very well relate to this costume in general!

Growing up, my room was ocean themed and I had sea themed objects and decorations all over my room. To this day, when I go back home to Texas, I stay in my childhood room! It has not changed, it is still painted turquoise with a huge beach mural on the wall. I also spent every single summer by the public pool with my mom and family friends, swimming for hours and hours. I never wanted to leave the water. My father told me that when I was a one year old, I jumped into the family pool in the background by myself for a few minutes. He said he panicked and jumped in to get me out in case I drowned, but once I was up I was breathing just fine! I was swimming under there I guess. Since half my family is Greek, I grew up going to beaches and being in the sea all day when we vacation there. Obviously this only encouraged my obsession of the ocean.

While searching for my final look for my Halloween makeup series, I had a few ideas and I could not decide which one to do! I ask my Instagram followers which one they preferred out of a Mermaid look, Bratz Doll look (I was also obsessed with Bratz),  or a Butterfly look. And by ONE point, Mermaid won, beating Bratz Doll.

So, I decided to be a little creative and purchase some cheap miniature seashells and pearl stickers from Amazon for this look. I wanted to take the typical Mermaid look up a notch! Unfortunately, I am not in full Mermaid costume, but whatever the blue fishnet top works, haha!
