My Favorite Trench Coat

Hey guys! It’s been a while, I have been wrapping up my studio semester recently, but now I am starting to get back into the blogging sphere.

New York is blooming so beautifully this Spring, it has me so excited! The weather is definitely warmer but still cool enough to layer clothing lightly. I recently purchased this vintage Burberry trench coat and I have been adding it on top of a light sweater or a top and mixing it with a long slip skirt or pants.

There were many trench coats I could of bought, but why this one? Well, first, I have been searching for the perfect trench coat for years and never actually bought one because I could never decide on the brand, material, color, details, and price. This vintage trench coat was not as expensive as you might think. Vintage can run fairly pricey, but I searched and searched until I found someone who had exactly what I wanted. I think of a trench coat being a classic wardrobe staple, so I only want ONE of them, so why not spend a few more bucks and get the one I really wanted? Especially, if this trench coat had everything I was looking for – the details, the length, the high quality material, the color, the collar and lapel, the belt, the oversized fit, the double breasted closure, and of course the brand, Burberry. A Burberry trench coat is THE staple piece from the brand since the brand was conceived so it is just a dream to even own one, especially if it is vintage. I highly suggest looking into online sources and find one you truly want that has all the details and structure. I could of purchased a nice trench coat from COS that was the same price as this vintage Burberry one. So you never know what you will find and I am so happy I waited for so long and really found the right trench coat for me 🙂

See how I styled the trench coat to the New York Botanical Garden below!
