A Pop of Color

The Spring semester just started for me and truthfully, it has been difficult getting up in this frosty weather. The motivation is low and I am a lot more tired than usual. I am waiting for Spring to come and to finally finish out my first year of graduate school. So far school has been fine. Last semester was lot for me to think about in terms of what I really want to be doing after grad school and what I want to do with my life. To be honest, I have absolutely no idea. I know for sure that I do not want to continue on with architecture. It is not my calling. So I guess you could say that is why I might be feeling groggy on my first week back and I’m sure you are right. I am using this time in graduate school to figure out what I like and thankfully the school I go to is really open minded about letting students experiment and discover what they like and what they want out of the projects and classes that they are taking. But anyways, I’m hoping to discover more about myself here and just take it one step at a time.

Back to the outfit… I decided to not wear my giant puffer because it was slightly warmer than most days these past few weeks. I wanted to have a really nice look going back into the new year. I love this plaid double-breasted coat because it looks timeless and will honestly never look back with anything you wear. I added a pop of color, a bright lilac, which I am loving lately to add some cheerfulness into my day. I am all for wearing all black during the winter but I have found that it is gloomy and I have so many bright colors to wear so why not spice it up a bit. To clash with the lilac I wore my vintage Prada bag in lime green. It is such a unique piece and I love the brown leather detailing.

I hope everyone is having a great start back at school or work or whatever you do!
