It’s 2019! Happy New Year! I didn’t really do a 2018 recap except for a small highlight reel on my Instagram stories. I accomplished a lot I’m 2018, but honestly 2018 wasn’t the best. I struggled a lot mentally and I didn’t really understand what I wanted to do with my entire life. But I got through it and now it’s over thank goodness! I hope everyone had a fun and safe NYE! I spent mine with my family in Georgia (to be there for my cousin who was getting married) it was nice, but I was sick with a virus the entire time so I didn’t get to do much. Now I’m back in Texas for the rest of the week and will finally go back to NYC next week! It was nice being home and visiting family. NYC at the end of the year was getting hectic and I needed a break but I’m ready to go back.
Speaking of NYC, this was one of the shoots I did there in Brooklyn before leaving the city. Basically, I was channeling grapes with this look, I know odd choice of fruit but I love this sweater from the men’s section at COS, it was on sale and comfy and I couldn’t resist the plum color! I paired it with my corduroy pants from Everlane to keep the look festive and on theme with food. But my favorite part of this look is the tote! I’ve been eyeing this bag from Everlane ever since it came out and I’ve just been waiting patiently to get it at the right time, you know when I needed it, not wanted it.😅 I’m trying to get better at impulse buying and also trying to buy from sales ONLY –2019, it’s going to be a goal for me. This bag holds so much it’s incredible and I loved this hunter forest green color, there are other lovely colors but I don’t have a green bag so it would make a nice addition to my collection. The magnetic snap closure is perfect so I’m not fiddling around trying to open and find things and the adjustable strap makes it comfortable to wear on your shoulder or as a crossbody.
