Puffer Season

Winter is coming and if you are like me and have never experienced a winter in the north, then you need to start preparing! Yes, this is my first winter, as in I have never seen more than 8 inches of snow and only felt temperatures below 28 degrees once! (Winter is Texas is mild and once in a while it’s really cold but the temperature heats up quickly. Plus you are always in a car so warmth is available.) Moving up to the northeast, I knew I would need to prepare myself with adequate winter clothing. I also walk to school everyday and basically everywhere so there is no car to keep me warm. But, what is the best way to keep you warm? A puffer. Meet the Puffy Puff by Everlane. Everlane just launched an entire line of winter wear that includes different sized puffers and fleeces in the most elegant colors. Did I mention that this new launch is all made of recycled plastic? Yes, this Puffy Puff is made of 100% recycled plastic and filler, approximately 32 renewed plastic bottles. How cool is that? Helping how the environment and staying warm – sounds good to me! I couldn’t resist this lovely lavender color! I styled it with pastel pink pants and baby blue hoops to keep the light-colored theme. I also purchased a long, black puffer as well for even colder conditions, in case New York has another blizzard.

There is also the pop-up shop in Soho, Manhattan that will tell you more about the ReNew process that Everlane goes through to create their puffers and fleeces and the technology is amazing! Read their story here.
