Believe it or not, but this is my first time cutting the crease on my eyeshadow! I wanted to try this live for you guys so you all can see my first reactions. Doing this technique is something I was not very fond of because I thought the stark contrast of the cut crease was not very appealing. However, I find it quite intriguing to do for a very special look.
For this tutorial, I wanted to achieve a softer, more subtle cut crease on the eye. I used my favorite concealer from NARS to apply on top of this gorgeous orange eyeshadow from Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette. This is one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes and it creates so many looks! In order to be more subtle with the cut crease, I made sure to blend the concealer out more before setting it and then blending the shadows around the concealer with the cut line so it is not harsh. Blending is always the key to achieving a soft look.
I really like the end result of this look and my subtle approach to this trend. But now that I have done this, I really want to try to make the look more drastic with a stark cut line. I know I said I was not fond of it, but I got inspired by the process and now I have other ideas for my next look for this technique.
I hope this inspires you to try something new, after all makeup is supposed to be fun and experimental!
