PIENZA & MONTEPULCIANO

November 2

Ciao, I’m back in Italy!

For our Wednesday trip, we visited two nearby towns called Pienza and Montepulciano. Pienza is famous for the Piccolini family and palace and Renaissance town layouts.
Unfortunately, I got sick again coming back from Switzerland, so this day was pretty miserable. It was a gorgeous day, but it was really cold and I was a little unprepared for it. In Montepulciano, we visited an ancient wine cellar that sells wine that was bottled 14-20 years ago and some really amazing cheese. At the end of the day, we visited San Biagio and just relaxed in the warm sun.

Our Wednesday trips are almost over and I am so thankful for the chance to have visited so many small Tuscan towns. Tuscany is so beautiful is every season of the year, it is honestly a dream to be walking along the streets of so many Medieval-Renaissance towns.

My time here in Italy is dwindling and I am cherishing every moment I have left.

xx
