NEW YORK CITY 2014

For spring break, my family friends took my sister and I to New York City. I have been to NYC before on a class trip in middle school, but I didn’t get to see everything so it was a different experience. The main thing we did on this trip daily was eat, eat, eat, and eat. I don’t think I have ever had this much food in one week in my life! But all the food was amazing it was worth it, NYC does not disappoint. I definitely recommend Patsy’s Italian Restaurant (still dreaming of their chocolate mousse for dessert), Momofuku Milk Bar, STK Steak House, the Boat House in Central Park (lunch is the best; get the crab cakes), and Ladurée. This was the first time I tried Ladurée and where my addiction began.

Aside from eating, most of the time was spent touring sites that were hotspots in the TV series Gossip Girl, like Serena’s home, the New York Palace. We stopped by St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Metropolitan Museum, Central Park, and Columbia University. We spent some time shopping too. However, I did not purchase those beautiful Céline bags in the photo below :(. I was just marveling at them, but one day I will own one. Instead, I got some clothes from Saks 5th Avenue, which I still wear to this day.

The only thing I missed seeing was the Guggenheim Museum, the World Trade Center, and other museums. I saw the Statue of Liberty during my class trip, so it wasn’t a total miss, but I want to go again sometime soon.
